HypnoSafe sebagai pendekatan terapi untuk meningkatkan regulasi emosi dan kualitas hidup pada penyintas kekerasan dalam relasi intim.
Incidents of intimate partner violence (IPV) continue to increase, and their physical, psychological, social, and economic consequences substantially affect survivors’ quality of life. The traumatic nature of such experiences renders survivors vulnerable to emotional dysregulation and a decline in overall well-being. This study aims to examine the efficacy of HypnoSafe, a clinical hypnosis intervention, in enhancing emotion regulation and quality of life among women who have survived IPV. An exploratory sequential mixed-methods design was employed, comprising three phases: (1) a scoping review of clinical hypnosis interventions for survivors of violence, (2) the development and validation of the HypnoSafe module, and (3) an efficacy trial of HypnoSafe using a randomized controlled trial (RCT) design. Participants were young adult women aged 18–40 years who had experienced violence within a dating or marital relationship (including those with divorced status), had encountered violence within six months prior to the study, exhibited symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), experienced difficulties in emotion regulation, and provided informed consent to participate. The intervention’s outcomes were assessed using both psychological and psychophysiological measures. Psychological assessments included the GPS, DERS-SF, WHOQOL, and PANAS, while psychophysiological measures comprised EEG, HRV, and galvanic skin response. Findings from this study are expected to demonstrate that HypnoSafe clinical hypnosis can enhance emotion regulation and improve quality of life among survivors of intimate partner violence.
